Over 2000 images from 42 countries were assessed by a jury consisting of :-

The objective being to reduce the number by 75% before passing on the next group of judges :-

Murat Tabanlioglu : Tabanlioglu Architects
Pawel Paniczko : Photographer and winner of APA prize in 2018

In this next round four images for each category and four portfolios will be chosen for the shortlist that will be exhibited in Amsterdam at the World Architecture Festival (WAF) in December 2019. The delegates at the World Architecture Festival, some of the world’s most influential architectural professionals, will cast their votes to establish this year’s overall winners and an announcement will be at the gala dinner on evening of 6th December.

For the first time the general public is invited to vote for a new “mobile category” on the subject of “shelter” - with motives such as bus stops, tree canopies, igloos, and many more. For this category the image must have been taken on a mobile device – phone or tablet.
